Task One:

Visit these websites to fill in the dates on your timeline.  Be sure to visit them in order so that your dates on your timeline will be in time order.  Under the word date write one or two words to tell about the event that happened on that date.  Last, use the box underneath the date to draw a picture of the event.  Use the pictures on the website to give you ideas:

Task Two:

Your next job is to find two pictures of important events or places to use in your museum exhibit.  Visit the site below to find LOTS of pictures:

Your teacher will show you how to save a picture to a disk, or your teacher may want you to draw the picture you find on paper.  Listen carefully to the directions from your teacher so you know which to do.

Task Three:

Now you will take the online tour of the Omaha History room at South High.  While you are visiting, pick one place that you are very interested in.  Write a 5 sentence paragraph on this place.  Save your paragraph for your museum exhibit.  Draw or print out a picture to go with it.

Task Five:

Now that you have completed some of the exhibits for your museum, it is time to advertise!  On a piece of construction paper, design a poster that advertises your Omaha History Museum.  Include a picture, details about what visitors will see, and the 4w questions!  (Where, when, why, what)  Make sure your poster is exciting, so it will attract many visitors.

Task Six:

Almost finished!  Think about the places you have learned about.  Pick one building that you think is important to Omaha history.  Using the materials your teacher will give you, make a model of this building to display in your museum.  Visit these websites to get some ideas:
